The Vivekanand Central Library, Central University of Jharkhand, established in 2009, serves as the academic and research hub of the university. It provides comprehensive support to students, researchers, and faculty through a fully automated library system managed using the open-source Library Management System Koha. The library houses a rich collection of books, journals, theses, dissertations, and licensed electronic resources to meet diverse academic needs.

It is equipped with RFID-based security and CCTV surveillance to ensure efficient and secure library services. To accommodate the university’s growing academic community and evolving technological requirements, the library has been relocated to university’s permanent campus with advanced facilities. Its dedicated staff continue to enhance library services and support excellence in teaching, learning, and research.
